Laney is 4 months and eating cereal...

Carter is the best big brother! He does such a great job with Laney and I am so thankful for that. Laney turned 4 months on Wednesday and we started rice cereal. She was sleeping through the night up until a few weeks ago. I was hoping that the cereal may help her sleep past 3:45 a.m. Well...it hasn't - which is exactly what the Dr. says but I guess I was just hoping. I am so sleepy in the night and when she smiles at me, my heart just melts. I also know how quickly time flew by with Carter so I must enjoy these midnight/3 am snacks before she grows out of them.
She did so good with cereal. She just opens her mouth wide for the next bite. We just can't get it to her mouth fast enough sometimes.

We're Rolling...

On Friday, mom called me at work and told me that Laney had rolled from her tummy to her back. I was so excited but also very sad because I didn't get to see it first. These moments make it so difficult for me to work. I got her to roll over in her crib on Friday night. Then on Saturday, I tried on the floor a couple times. She doesn't like tummy time so she just cried. So, today, I put her on the floor after she had eaten. I walked out of the room to get the camera and Chuck was watching football. I came back with the camera and she had rolled onto her back. So, again, I missed her rolling over. I finally got a video of her rolling over this afternoon. It is so cute!

I had to go back to work last Monday the 5th. It has been a very tough week. It was harder leaving this time than it was with Carter. I guess because I am leaving two instead of one. Plus, with Carter, my mom came to our house. Now I have to be at school 30 minutes earlier plus drop them off at moms.

Laney is 3 months old...

We had Lindsay, Jessie, James, Hattie, Josh, Melissa and Nicholas over to play Wii. Being the bad parents we are, we talked Jessie into giving James his first coke. We had to get a picture of this memorable event.

Chuck, Hattie and Carter all playing the Wii.

Laney turned 3 monts on December 28th. I remembered at bedtime to take her pictures. They are not the best...I feel like my children are always in their pajamas.

Santa Claus Came to Town

We went to eat at Cheesecake Factory for Chuck's birthday on December 14th. I decided to have the kids picture made with Santa. It was impossible to get a great picture of both kids but this one turned out okay.

We went to Chuck's grandmas Christmas Eve night to open presents. Carter got a few things there. Then we drove back home for Santa to come. Carter fell asleep on the way home but as soon as we pulled into the garage, he opened his eyes. We layed down with him so long that we both ended up falling asleep too. Luckily Chuck woke up about 3:30 to help Santa get the presents under the tree. Carter was very excited when he got up on Christmas morning. He said Santa brought me everything I wanted. Then we went to my brothers for lunch with my family. We had a wonderful Christmas!
