Christmas Tree Farm

We had to cancel our trip to Boone this weekend because the Hamrick's had a death in the family. We really needed to go to Ian's birthday party anyway so it was good that it worked out. We went up there on Saturday morning and celebrated his 4th birthday with him. We had a great time. I had found several Christmas tree farms between Winston and home. We decided on one in Lincolnton that looked wonderful. When we got there, it was freezing cold and the trees did not look like the trees we normally get in Boone. So...we headed down in to the farm and found someone who worked there. I asked him, "how do we find you when we want the tree cut down" and he said, "you don't, here's your saw you cut it." Chuck and I just looked at each other and took the saw. When he left we just laughed and started walking to the car. In Boone, there are workers everywhere and they cut it down for you. We don't know how to use a saw! So we decided to stop at a local place, Spakes, that already has them cut down. The trees were beautiful and they have the most awesome tree stand - Our tree will not fall this year.

Our 2 Month Well Visit

We took Laney for her two month well visit today. I asked the nurse to use a small needle because Laney's legs are so tiny. She did but Laney still screamed and cried for quite some time. I have felt so bad for her all day. She has been a little fussy and has not really wanted to eat.
Dr. Davis said she looks great and is growing well. She weighed 9 lbs. and was 22 inches long. She goes back again at 4 months.
I planned to update a few cute pictures that I took yesterday but it isn't working for some reason. I will try again tomorrow.
