Finally one for our cards!

Carter wanted to dress as Santa too.

This one is really sweet!

Laney would hug Santa since it was me dressed as Santa.

Outside the Santa house
The Friday after Thanksgiving we went uptown Shelby to see Santa. The local bank sponsors a Santa House and a Santa's Workshop. We went to see Santa first. Laney wanted no part of sitting on his lap and Carter acted a little shy. After that, we went into the workshop. There was a jumping inflatable, go fish, a place to write and mail letters to Santa, and many other fun things. The kids had a wonderful time! We had hoped to get a picture for our Christmas cards there but it didn't work out.
Carter's best friend Ian turned 5 on December 2nd. As part of his birthday weekend, we went up to Winston and had breakfast with Santa. We spent the rest of the weekend celebrating Ian's birthday.
We tried for days to get a great picture for our Christmas cards. We went back up to the Santa house and then worked on pictures at home. We finally got a great one at home in front of our tree. Here are a ton of the pictures we took.

Almost a white Christmas!

Our last day of school before Christmas break was Friday, December 17th. That morning we got up and were disappointed to not see any snow. We went on to school for Polar Express Day, in our PJ's. Around 9:00 it started sleeting and snowing. Finally around 12:00, they decided to dismiss early. We got home just before 1:00 which was perfect because shortly after the roads were covered in snow and sleet. It was beautiful. It was kind of sad though because the kids couldn't really play in it because it contained to much ice. Carter had a great time just seeing it snow though!

A little behind...

I have been a little behind on posting anything.
We had a wonderful Christmas except that we all had the stomach virus. Carter got sick on Christmas Eve night driving home from Chuck's family's. He was sick for 1/2 of Christmas day. Then a few days later, we were talking about things he had gotten and he didn't even realize that he had gotten a TV. Then Chuck and I got sick the day after Christmas. We called my mom in the middle of the night to come get the kids and then the next day she got it. We hope to never have that happen again.
Laney was adorable on Christmas morning. She stood at our big bag from Santa and just screamed and jumped up and down. She was so excited to see the "Lu Lu, Fur Real Cat". She also got a pink kitchen, some clothes and a few other things. Carter got a couple Wii games, a TV, the Batcave (which is all he asked for) and some Transformers. They both had a wonderful Christmas and got way to much!
