A Fun Filled Weekend!

On July 1st, just as we thought, Laney's first tooth popped through. It was her bottom right. Then yesterday, the bottom left popped through. I hope that her sleeping habits will go back to normal after they are finished coming through.
We had a wonderful weekend! Chuck only had to work for a couple of hours on Friday and was off all day Saturday. Friday night, we took Carter to the Shelby mall for fireworks. They weren't the best ever. Chuck called them the recession fireworks. Then we went to the lake on Saturday morning/afternoon. Thomas invited us to play at Judy's for the day. She had a water slide for the kids and they loved it. Carter jumped from her top deck (see video) into the lake. We really didn't think he would do it, but all of the other kids are a little older and when they did it, he decided to try it too.
Saturday night, we went over to Josh and Melissa's house for dinner. I took Laney up to the Lincolnton parade and she slept through it. Carter had stayed at my mom's to spend the afternoon with Robbie and Dalton. Josh has a great view for watching the fireworks. They were much better than Shelby's.
Today, we have just relaxed and enoyed the beautiful day.

We are hoping for teeth...

Laney turned 9 months on Sunday. We cannot figure out where the time has gone. She has been a little fussier than usual. I think she must be getting her bottom teeth. I think I see them sometimes but then a few seconds later they are not there. We will see if they pop through in the next couple of days.
My nephew Robbie turned 12 yesterday, June 30th. We went to my brother's for pizza, cake and ice-cream. Laney is quite a fan of ice-cream!
Other than that, things are great around here. We have planted a garden for Carter. However Chuck ends up doing most of the work. We have gotten tons of squash so far and there are tons of cantelopes growing. Carter is loving having a garden and eating fresh veggies from it.
